Dear friends,
After two days of diligent work in The South Carolina General Assembly, we fixed a problem for 30,000 unemployed South Carolinians and we signed a deal with Boeing Airlines to build a plant in North Charleston, SC. To read more details about my “hopeful” analysis of this week’s Legislative Session, read my blog post HERE.
Boeing coming to South Carolina means $750 million investment and 3,800 jobs! Fixing the unemployment benefits problem means more than 30,000 will qualify for extended unemployment benefits under the federal stimulus act.
Today was a great day serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives and it is also a great day to be a South Carolinian.
Dum Spiro Spero (While I Breathe, I Hope),
Rep. Anton Gunn
