(Columbia, S.C.) Lt. Governor André Bauer will unveil the new Job Connection Services (JCS) program to leaders of the Upstate’s faith community Thursday at 10:00 a.m. on the campus of Redemption World Outreach located at 635 Haywood Road in Greenville.
At a time when South Carolina faces one of the nation’s highest unemployment rates, Lt. Governor Bauer determined that it was time to bring the entire community together so neighbors could help neighbors get back on their feet.
“I have stood in unemployment lines across the state and spoken with folks that have lost their jobs. They are looking for answers on how to feed their children or pay their mortgage as unemployment continues to soar,” Lt. Governor Bauer said.
The JCS program will create a linking mechanism to put thousands of individuals on South Carolina’s unemployment roles back to work through collaboration with South Carolina’s 16 technical schools, a variety of state and federal agencies, leadership in industry and commerce, and the faith based community.
“I think it takes more than government programs and unemployment checks to fix this crisis – it is going to take community involvement. That is why we have created the Job Connection Services program, to put the health of the community back in the hands of the folks that live there,” Bauer continued. “Sometimes it is something simple like the way JCS will provide those seeking employment with an email address to send a resume from that will help them land a job.”
Thursday’s seminar will help community leaders learn how to create an effective employment and job training program in their community with no financial burden placed on the organization.
During the event, Lt. Governor Bauer will speak about the JCS program, information will be provided on how to start up a JCS and community leaders will have a first hand opportunity to see a functioning JCS center.

Andre Bauer is one self-serving guy. Disgustingly so.
