Law Enforcement Leaders Say Rice is the Congressman We Need in Washington
EASLEY, SC – Sheriffs and law enforcement leaders from across the Third District endorsed Rex Rice for Congress, it was announced today.
Aiken County Sheriff Mike Hunt, Oconee County Sheriff James Singleton, Pickens County Sheriff David Stone joined former Greenwood Sheriff Dan Wideman and Pickens County Assistant Sheriff Tim Morgan in endorsing Rex Rice for Congress.
“Rex Rice is the clear choice for Congress. He is a proven conservative leader who is a friend of law enforcement. Frankly, we need his leadership in Washington to keep our families safe at home and protect our freedoms abroad,” stated former Greenwood County Sheriff Dan Wideman.
“We live in a brave new world, where terrorism could strike any town at any time. Our law enforcement personnel, our military men and women, and our first responders are all real American heroes who keep the American dream and freedom alive and well on a daily basis,” stated Rice.
“Having the trust and support of our law enforcement officials is a true honor and highlights our campaign’s broad base of support across the Third Congressional District,” continued Rice.
The sheriffs’ endorsement continues a momentum building month for Rice. Last week, he announced the support of a majority of legislators from within the Third Congressional District. Earlier this month, Rice became the first candidate in the race for Congress to launch a district wide television ad.
Rice is a husband, father, and small business owner. He has represented Pickens and Greenville counties for the past fifteen years in the State House and is the only candidate for Congress to author legislation to fight crime, cut taxes, curb wasteful spending, create jobs, and provide free market health care reform.
