National conservative leader touts André Bauer’s conservative record

Greenville, SC – Gubernatorial candidate André Bauer this week will air a new round of television ads with former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. Governor Huckabee notes André’s conservative credentials and record in these endorsement spots.

As a respected leader in the national conservative movement, Governor Huckabee formally endorsed Bauer’s run for Governor earlier this year. Governor Huckabee is the host of the number one rated weekend hit “HUCKABEE” on the Fox News Channel, and is heard three times daily across the nation on the “Huckabee Report.”

“Andre Bauer is a great friend of mine, and I applaud his willingness to take a firm stand against the tough issues that other candidates in this race simply don’t want to address,” says Governor Huckabee. “The truth of the matter is that increases in taxes and government handouts have to be paid by someone; sadly, that someone is the average working man and woman in South Carolina.”

Noting André Bauer’s lifetime conservative record, Governor Huckabee proudly declares “that André was Tea Party before there was a Tea Party.”

“It is a tremendous honor to have a respected conservative leader like Governor Huckabee stand up and support my campaign for Governor,” Bauer noted. “As someone who has consistently fought for less taxes and smaller and more efficient government,” Bauer continued, “I am proud to have Governor Huckabee’s endorsement. His acknowledgment of my work to block over $2 Billion in tax increases reaffirms my proud conservative record.”

The endorsement spots will focus on the core ideals and values that many fellow Republicans share with Bauer and Huckabee: a more limited and efficient role for government, taxes that are low and fair, and the fight to hold the line on spending.
