Lancaster, SC — Mulvaney for Congress today released impressive fundraising figures for the 2nd Quarter with $472,694 in cash on hand and over $600,000 raised. Mulvaney’s filing coupled with his donor base totaling more than 900 individual contributors show that his message of reducing federal spending and growing jobs is resonating with voters in the 5th Congressional District.
“I am very encouraged by the outpouring of support that I have received from across the district and the state,” said Mulvaney. “This filing shows that South Carolinians are tired of the big spenders in Washington, D.C., and they are tired of being ignored by the liberal leadership in Congress.”
Based on previous reports, Mulvaney’s challenger, Congressman John Spratt, is being forced to rely more on out of state and special interest money.
“If hardworking Americans have to tighten their fiscal belts to make ends meet, then so should the government,” said Mick Mulvaney. “Voters don’t trust politicians like John Spratt, who have created the fiscal train wreck in Washington, to get us back on the right track. I am humbled by the support and will continue to fight for policies that promote fiscal responsibility and job growth.”

“Mulvaney’s challenger” John Spratt? Sure y’all know which one the incumbent is? Mulvaney is the challenger, Spratt is the incumbent… you really can’t call an incumbent a challenger: misuse of the English language. Mulvaney is playing the “Washington outsider” role in this race… which proves he’s just as cynical a politician as he’s accusing Spratt of being.

More cynical. Take a look at the Edenmoor land deal for an example of what to expect. Links aplenty prove the point:

Mick on Youtube making promises for all to see. If he did that to his local supporters, what will he do with more power?
